  1. Welcome to Newark, Ohio! Drop a comment below and let me know what you think of the town's industrial history, and tell me where we should head next on our journey.

If you enjoyed the documentary, please consider hitting the Subscribe button and leaving a Super Thanks to support the channel. See you next week when we head up north to Lorain, Ohio!

  2. I really enjoy your informative videos. Great attention to detail. Love seeing the buildings; especially how they get repurposed. Truly hope the giant basket gets renovated into apartments/condos. It's so unique. Thanks from Canton, OH (loved that video too!)

  3. Thanks for all your content. I’m from Hilliard Ohio. It’s really interesting. How you show how the Midwest Ohio particular was really hurt by the decisions of the government.

  4. You should do a video on Nelsonville. It has a rich history in clay tile, brick and coal not to mention the historic Brooks shoe company which manufactured hiking boots that took travelers across the world

  5. Asbolutely nothing good will happen,
I spent childhood in a place that was industrial hub in Soviet Union 🚩, and then witnessed how it deteriorated for 30 years in a row, ever since 1990s…
Imagine every of these industrial buildings being left as is, for decades, with only scavengers, juпkies, and graffiti "artists" visiting them…
Imagine all families here still driving same old cars for like 40 years… Imagine trees growing so tall and old, that they become a hazard due to falling branches – and city having to cut them, leaving ugly shadeless streets of old soothed concrete and potholed asphalt… Everywhere else – instead, lawns being left overgrown, where it seems nature reclaims the streets, exactly like in Chernobyl…
Community services working poorly, so streets would be litered with plastic wrappers and bottles, with no one caring to clean the trash – for decades, this literally becoming the usual scenery…
Unlit streets with broken lightbulbs, that no oen cares to put back… With occasional new mayor putting luightbulbs in before election, and then unscrewing(!) them to steal them back. 🥲
People, due to being left for themselves for so long — will develop distroted understanding of reality, values, life goals, etc… One year it'll be fashion that everybody makes tattoos, next year it'll be painting hair blue or green(with even babushkas doing it), another year it'll be some BS like karaokes, energy drinks, like whatever commercial rubbish… While real values, widom, etc – would be forgotten.
The success in life – would be emigration. If you left to a different country, automatically you're viewed as a successful person. 🙂
For people even touching anything in the original city – local govt. would be coming with fines, making sure people understand "their place" and that "none of this belongs to them", etc…
Then one day some war will start, and same "refrigeration industry workers" would be manhunting o nthe streets for men 18-60 y.o. to send them to the front line at gunpoint, with exits fro mthe city now being closed off with military checkpoints, etc… 🧐 I've see some bad 💩, people – and US now looks exactly like USSR in early 1990s – really clear parallels… 🤔
