  1. In Germany and Poland, straw is mulched and half buried by a big grinding machine. The compost is keeping weeds away during autumn and winter. In spring, wheat can germinate early and resits to the heat we have nowadays in summer.

  2. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story of change and discovery. You told it so well.

I prepared some permaculture designs in Andalusia 10 years ago. Whilst conducting my research I was horrified by the scale of the destruction that conventional agriculture has caused in southern Spain in just the last 50 years. There's a massive and urgent need to embrace regenerative agriculture in the region but I see very little actual progress and that's a huge problem because Europe's food security depends on Spain's agricultural production.

  3. I am puzzled. This video teaches you what to do if you want to grow rice. But it doesn't tell you what to do if you want to grow mandarin oranges. And I picked up a clue that the whole thing could be bogus. At the end it mentioned that avocadoes continued to bear. Yet we had earlier seen snow lying thickly on the ground and the snowfall was mentioned. Avocado is a subtropical to tropical crop with cannot survive winter conditions in which snow lies on the ground. Neither can citrus. So how genuine is this?
