4. I knew Cloud ( Baptiste ). He was a good dude and very real and down to earth.

   He got the name White Cloud from being light skinned with light brownish/blondish hair.

   Cloud had a lot of power and a lot of haters.

   The last few times I would see him he would be rollin with out his security and I would tell him to be careful.

   Then about a year later he was found dead in the trunk of a car out in the south suburbs.

   Cloud would roll often with people in the back seat.

   I remember once when he saw me on 58th and Indiana and he was in the passenger seat with two dudes in the back seat. He got out of the ride and we kicked it for a minute.

Most of the BDz and GDz that were blessed in before the 90's know White Cloud's name, and that he was a key leader of BDz during the years following Larry Hoover's incarceration and David Barksdale's death, and much of the leadership of the fractured BGDN. White Cloud is one of those individuals who didn't need a title to command respect. He was loved and respected by the streets. One of my relatives is an old school BD minister who did 30 years on Statesville, back when Shorty Freeman did his bit in the 70's. I think they were cellies for a few years. He was tight with Shorty Freeman, and he spoke highly of White Cloud. I've never heard anybody say anything negative about White Cloud.

    Every organization has guys that has heavy hitters that you won't find any information about online. You have to be plugged in to the mob and the streets, or from the neighborhoods where they lived. The general public only knows about the guys that got caught up in the system, and even some of those you won't find anything about.
