My father was a civil engineer in the American Army. He had 23 duty stations in 20 years. I moved almost every year as a child and went to four high schools in four years. Despite all of the moves my parents gave my siblings and I stability. I traveled the world with my family experiencing different cultures and learning to be resilient. I wouldn't trade my childhood for anything. I couldn't imagine being away from my family and placed in a boarding school as a young child. Now that my father has passed I cherish all of the memories we made as a family even more.

Nah, I’m good. I have a 16 month old baby and I couldn’t imagine sending her off to boarding school. I don’t care if I could afford to or not. Do you know how excited I am to enjoy every minute of her childhood with her that I can? I want to tuck her in every night, read her books, have popcorn and movie nights etc.

Boarding schools are certainly not made for autistic introverts. What an absolute nightmare! Always surrounded by people, I would've run away.
Why send them off? Just don’t seem right, why have kids then.
