  8. In UK, before the Reformation, when Henry VIII destroyed the monasteries, every town which had a monastery, had a place where Lepers could find help and shelter. If your town has a St. Giles, or a Gilesgate, that would have been where the hospice would be. I wonder what happened to the lepers when their refuges were destroyed?
