The text of your videos is interesting, but the visuals you choose have nothing to do with the story.
Thank You for the deeply understanding document. It seems obvious that any movement or revival have their real momentum when the important things happen. The time passing away, the sons and grand sons of the fathers don't feel anymore the same vision as their ancestors. The momentum has gone. However that doesn't mean that they are loosing faith but it means that they are loosing the tradition. This is why I am not worrying about churches collapsing. Jesus finds new ways to build His Kingdom.
This is a lie I was at a big 4 square event and they are still growing!
The claim that the Foursquare Church is “collapsing in America” is exaggerated. The Foursquare Church, founded by evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, is still an active global denomination with churches in the United States and many other countries. Like many traditional Christian denominations in the U.S., it has experienced slower growth or decline in some regions and faces competition from non-denominational churches and broader cultural shifts away from organized religion. However, it has not collapsed, disappeared, or ceased to function; instead, it is adapting and, in many places outside the U.S., continues to grow or remain stable. The video’s wording is therefore more of a dramatic framing than an accurate description of reality.
I'm retired and living on a fixed income. I'm watching from Baltimore, Maryland, USA in Eastern Standard Time.
I think the Foursquare Church is collapsing, because it was founded by a woman who put away her husband and got married to another. Jesus says that the woman who does that commits adultery (Mark 10v12). I hope that she repented and confessed that she was committing adultery while she was in her second marriage.
Sounds heretical start to finish
Stone Age America what do you expect
The Western Church in general, both Catholic and Protestant, is failing, breaking up, and downsizing. As for Aimee McPherson, why not follow Jesus instead of following her? You'll get much better results.
The video's script is very good. I think you should have included more real footage, some pictures of Aimee preaching, Angeles Temple, etc. I also think that you might have included people involved right before the decline of the Foursquare denomination in the United States, and yes, your point of the decline in the United States is valid, and worldwide is still strong. I would have talked about Foursquare when Rolf McPherson and Jack Hayford was President, and about the evangelism of Pastor Jim Toll. Now, I think the Foursquare denomination in the United States is more like the Church of Laodicea, in Revelation 3:15-20, they are too allowing of practicing sin without repentance in the United States.
I have written several letters to their Pastors using Scriptures and the original Statement of Faith of the Foursquare Gospel while I was a member, and received a letter the Pastor sending me called, "a harsh letter." The point I was making would have been agreed upon by any Conservative denomination, along with Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. The two youth Pastors I made the comment about are now both divorced, one wife is no longer serving God, I don't know about the other couple, except he became Head Pastor, wife left him with the kids, divorced, and he was taken out of ministry. What I was talking about had to do with practicing sin without repentance or examining oneself, (1 Corinthians 11).
Sounds like this woman had a severe case of histrionic personality disorder.
