The Mod revival band Secret Affair were extremely popular amongst the West Ham Fans in 1978-1980. West Ham had a lot of mods in the late 70s. Many of them would've become ICF in early 8os. West Ham are mostly associated with the Cockney Rejects, their love of Secret Affair was lesser known.
Mods at Parkhead (Celtic) used to wear green, white, and orange targets rather than the British red white and blue ones normal mods displayed
Looks like this was the final day of school for all these lot.
Bang on. There was more terrace violence in the seventies, no tickets away fan's getting into the home end, being able to walk around most grounds because there wasn't any segregation 🤜🤛👊
Load of BS I might report this channel yet again lol
Had a few battles with the NF back in the day
These lot wouldn’t last five mins with us young lads
The best days of my life
Harry the dog in the vid
AI voice unsbscribed sorry.
I used to know about with a black skinhead
Eccles, The Slaughter, Cass Pennant, Mad Dog and all the others — great times for free men.
The pigs were always our mutual enemy
😢 thing i got told was that the skin heads that used to go to football , stopped dressin like skin heads so they could dodge the police, thats when the clothes started to go casual ..😮
Remember when football boys , dressers used to get there hair permed..😢😢😅😅❤
Some great ICF footage on the vid..good one E.C..😮
In liverpool the term casual just never existed it was scally but even that was a term that was never used to describe yourself ..you'd never say 'im a scally'😂
I'm feeling my age no one looks older than 15 in any of the pictures.
My uncle was at the big one at Brighton. Being a life long The Who fan since 1978. I'm ashamed to say he was a Rocker. Someone might know him Welsh Graham former bank robber from Hanwell West London. He's passed on so I will mention his line on work.
Pete Townshend once said I felt safer in a group of mods than my own band.
So no gang fights before the 60s that's not true the early 1900s was the start of neighbourhood rivalry with most city's and towns expanding creating new houses and areas city's like Liverpool Manchester Glasgow Birmingham all have history of stabbings on a large scale with gangs from bootle in Liverpool marching to neighbouring kirkdale area with weapons and vice versa in most city's ,,also the troubles of Northern Ireland date back to at least the 40s when shipbuilders we're brought over from Scotland to Belfast with demand for war ships we're gangs fought on the docks on a regular basis so that information about the mods and that era seeing multiple people fighting was not a first by any means
Great footage from a great era
I love this content ❤👍👍🏴
Just missed out on this era looks wild
What a load of Bollox In the 70s the people who wld fight were older pissed up blokes…skinheads were never feared and always got their heads kicked in on sight especially in N London.
The skinheads were a main part of the Arsenal firms in the early years. The NF latched on because of the Jewish owners and followers of spurs. They were fearless and took the shelf, shed and many more back then. COYFG
As a skinhead then mod then casual me and my mates were all 3.Loved those days so much such a shame they had to end. But the team and memories will always be there till the end 🥰 COYFG
All the firms were mainly skins in the 70s…Leicester had hundreds…and all from separate estates…it changed with the clothes and the firms havin names…all the estates came together and everyone became one massive firm
Loads of Baby Squad photos on here 👍🏻
Love how we all wore same labels had same haircuts from Aberdeen down to Plymouth…really were great times and a brilliant sub culture
Casual culture is probably the longest running Britains ever seen, from the late 70s to this day.
West Ham ICF👊⚒️
I went from very young mod to 💯 CASUAL… ECSTASY 🫨 & THE LIKES… ENGLAND NO SURRENDER 💙 C. U. F. C
I be came a skinhead in 79 loved going to the matches on Saturday home and away till i got borstal in 81 for frightening at wolves against Millwall and got a 5 year ban banned from going into Wolverhampton on Saturday's our any night game
