Historic film
Step inside a rare 1960s British Army Intelligence Corps recruitment and training film, offering a unique look at how soldiers were prepared for intelligence roles during the height of the Cold War.
This original archival documentary follows new recruits from their first days of basic training through to specialist intelligence instruction.
AND GREETED BY JOHN CLEESE..😅
nice tomato ketchup sequence — trained at RADA lol
21:15 funny to watch the tall gangly officer chap greeting the tiny recent recruit
Pipping Park………went there during basic with RA 1986
Richard Baker , newsreader, narrating?
The narrator emphasises that recruits will become meatheads first, and spies second.
Interesting!
Narrated by Kenneth Kendal 🙂
If you failed the Army Pioneer or Catering Corps training you ended up in the Intelligence Corps.

It’s too bad the British army gave up using the .308 FAL battle rifles. They’re far better than the current 5.56 bullpup assault rifles especially at long range fire. There are several armies which use the FAL rifles. I also like the Sterlings. many armies don’t use SMGs anymore but still I think the SMG has its place in modern warfare with special forces or guard duty.
