   You had quite a diverse film month!

   From your list, I’ve seen The Pale Blue Eye and Asteroid City. The Pale Blue Eye was such a win for me — anything connected to Poe is instantly my thing. And Asteroid City… your video reminded me that I need to revisit it soon. I’ve been slowly rewatching Wes Anderson’s films whenever the mood hits.

   December was a light movie month for me — just three films, all favorites. I rewatched Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch and Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona — sexy, fun, and with a fantastic soundtrack. And honestly, Penélope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson together? Impossible to go wrong.

   My surprise of the month was Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu. I didn’t expect to love it, but I did. Visually, it blew me away — the production design and cinematography were far more beautiful than I anticipated from a horror film. One of the most stunning films I’ve seen in a while, with that slow, ominous descent into darkness.

   I still want to watch Del Toro’s Frankenstein, but I haven’t had the time to squeeze it in yet.

   Reading-wise, December was another mediocre month — nothing worth mentioning. I’m hoping 2026 jump-starts my reading again because I’ve been in a slump for months. I’m currently rereading Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore and loving it, so at least the year is off to a promising start.
