I’ve been subscribed for along time.. what I say to people about my snakes when they say but their in a CAGE. I say.. one they were all captive bred so they don’t know the alternative.. in the wild they are pretty low on the food chain and so that’s why they also hide as often as they do and I have to provide them hides to feel “safe” and finally I say that I provide them the necessary food and they don’t have to go out risking their lives to attain it. People will always hate and express their opinions whether it’s valid or is not valid. I’m also entitled to my opinion:-) Cant wait to see more and see the show!

Absolutely agree, history should always be documented and shared. It’s honestly incredibly fascinating seeing how things all began. People already knew these animals didn’t just appear here out of thin air, if anyone looks bad it’s the zoos 😂

I have a little Macklot's python for an emotional support animal — I'm not a real high-end reptile keeper — but I understand — I love snakes — and lots of other crazy animals, and I support you. I don't have HBO, so I can't watch the documentary, as much as I'd like to, but it sounds pretty cool.

I think it’s important for history to show how the industry started and how much it’s evolved in a positive way since. People that are scared also have to remember that there are so many huge companies involved in the reptile industry now (ex: PetSmart, Petco, Zoo Med, Exo Terra, etc.) that will not allow it to simply disappear, because there’s so many (legal) business opportunities in it.

I hope you guys went out and found copies of Lizard King by Brian Christy like recommended. It filled in a lot of gaps for me when I got hard into it 98-99. And was very much the basis or at least a preface to Monsters of God.
When I listen to Tyler talk like this, I truly believe it. I think he means what he says, and he says what he means, and he understands the ins and outs that came before him, and there will be stuff long after him, hopefully letting people keep animals with the correct paperwork. TY

As one of the worst and most irresponsible "keepers" in the hobby, your experience point of view is, at most, insignificant and irrelevant to people who really care about the animals, not just using them for likes and treating them like expendable tools on your way to more money.
Was out with the army for a few days but now getting to see this, I think there's so much in fighting in the industry…STILL even between the big names. It's so stupid, the ones that view it as serious competition only care about the price they can sell the animal for and not the animal. I didn't do a single clutch this year and im kinda glad, I stayed to myself and just hung with my snakes this year lol
