Don't know but definitely Patton way over MacArthur.
Any historian who picks someone other than Lloyd Fredendall is a historically illiterate hack.
George C Marshall. The Marsall plan short cicuited the twenty five year european cycle of war for the remainder of the twentieth century after ww2. You don't even have to calculate his contributions to winning ww2 into the equation, which were considerable.
Rommel
Certainly an interesting selections.
Giap. Fought the French, Japanese, French, USA, . Plus Cambodia, Laos, China.
Patton? Rommel?
Unfortunately. The Greatest General has not yet come.
General Motors
Attaturk, the only military man to forge a nation that still exists.
Manstein for me but he's not even included in this pretty poor video. Most of them had overwhelming superioty which rules out the likes of Zhukhov and Montgomery. Not so Rommel, who invariably had a fraction of the resources of his enemy, but although very good and better than any of the allied WW2 commanders, wasn't even the best general on his own side, the aforementioned Manstein and Guderian were certainly better imo, and possibly even Model. Of those in this video, Moshe Dayan is the standout for me
Dayan
I’ll answer that question! George Patton.
Konstantin Rokossovsky. William Slim.
Jiap, O'Conner, Slim, Gudarian, Zhukov, Von Lettow-Vorbeck, Smuts, so many really great generals.
General Samuel Hyde of Kekistan
Rommel was lucky. French reconnaissance had seen the large Panzer Division stuck in the open but the French government did not believe the report. If the french had taken action, WW2 probably would have never happened and Rommel would have been remembered today as one of the worst Generals in history.
scwartzkoph….really! terrible list of characters most simply had material advantages…manstein won with huge disadvantages

People talk about generals as if they are heroes. You want to see REAL heroes? Visit Arlington or Normandy. All the real heroes are there. Pay tribute.
General George Patton
