3. They never made amends. They absolved themselves of their crimes, moved on and thanks to the Americans, became the most prosperous country in Europe. But the consequences of their murderous actions linger to this day.

My father served in the US ARMY 501 Airborne went to Italy, Belgium, served alongside the101st Airborne "The Screaming Eagles" during the Battle of the Bulge, the few things he did comment on " had we not sacrificed what we did sacrifice, we probably would of be Sprechen Ze Duetche MIEN Fuhrer, not a good thought, not too say that German (people) are a bad people but the Nazis, that is something else THAT HAD TO BE STOPPED!!! and I thank all of the Rosie the Riveters, the folks back home that got the bad news that their son or daughter had perished at that time due to the war, it was ugly, and sad, but it was it was something that had to be done, let's hope in this modern society we can still learn from those harsh lessons taught some 80 + years ago.
